Terms of Service
Last updated: November 6, 2026
By using Flowline you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. The Service
Flowline aggregates publicly available data from sources such as the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and presents it as river condition recommendations. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
2. NO SAFETY WARRANTY — PADDLE AT YOUR OWN RISK
Flowline is an information tool, not a safety service. River conditions change rapidly. Always assess conditions in person, scout rapids, wear a PFD, paddle within your ability, and never paddle alone. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data or recommendation. You alone are responsible for your decision to get on the water. Flowline and its affiliates are not liable for any injury, death, or loss arising from your use of the Service.
3. Subscription & billing
- The Service is offered on a recurring monthly subscription at the price shown at checkout (currently $8 per month).
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel anytime in the billing portal.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide pro-rated refunds.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms.
4. Account
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its data.
- Don't reverse engineer, attempt to disrupt, or abuse the Service.
- Don't use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Intellectual property
Flowline, our logo, and the look-and-feel of the Service are our property. Underlying USGS and NOAA data is in the public domain. Photos may be licensed from third parties (e.g. Wikimedia Commons) under their respective licenses.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flowline's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription.
